Krystina Kaza, was born in Detroit, Michigan and is currently based in Auckland. Krystina has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City and a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master of Fine Arts degree (First Class Honours) from the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland. Krystina has participated in group shows at George Fraser Gallery, Window Gallery, IWT Project Space, and State Gallery in Auckland. In early 2018 she was an artist in residence at the Taipei Artist Village in Taipei, Taiwan. Krystina recently received a merit award in the 2018 Parkin Drawing Prize, and is a finalist in the 2018 Wallace Art Awards.
