This image is a continuation of observations made of introduced species to the South Pacific.

Monstera Deliciosa is a native of the tropical rainforests of Southern Mexico and south to Panama. This particular specimen is from the island of Rarotonga and stands around 15 metres high.

The species is not as invasive as Kadzu which was introduced throughout the islands of the South Pacific in the second world war by the American forces for camouflage. (From a previous body of work photographed in Fiji).

Inkjet printed mounted on dibond with museum glass. Edition of 6.
