A group show introducing four artists with ties to Hawke’s Bay - Brad Donovan, Hayley Hewer, John Eaden & John Lancashire. The show’s working title was ‘Night Garden’- each of the artists has incorporated aspects of their immediate environment as a reference for how they approach the practice and process of painting. The working title of the show somehow alludes to the palette that occurs in a number of the works, where in order to make darkness you have to somehow introduce light.
